The world of Visual Effects.
Implementing visual effects in video creates opportunities for creating new video concepts that go a step further than what we can capture with a physical camera.
Together with our visual effects team, we are making various projects where we can expand our cinematographic style of making films with 2D and 3D animation (CGI).
3D animation combined with video
Below we like to show you an example of how we integrate a 3D animation into existing images, such as the Maxilact® Smart video production. For this film we created a one-shot sequence using 3D animation.
The Previs (concept video)
When a script is written, a previs is created (a 3D environment) for the preparations of the recording days.
The camera movement must match the movement of the previs, so that the animation can be processed properly.
The previs gives a visual idea of how the video will look like.
From Previs to Film
After the recordings, the 3D animation must be integrated into the actual images. In the case of the Maxilact® film, we wanted the animation to look as natural as possible.
This means that the animation must match with the colors, shadows and movements of the camera and the acteurs.
Set photos of the one-shot sequence
For a short impression of the Maxilact-set, see below some pictures.
We used a green screen and ensure that the camera movements are equal to the predisposed previs, so that the transition of the different scenes fit together nicely.
