Drones are becoming more affordable and the quality is constantly improving. It used to be the case that aerial shots were preserved for the bigger project but through technological advances in the field of drones it has become more obtainable for a larger audience. Because of this the demand for aerial shots from our customers has increased which is good news! To achieve the movie feeling that CCD Media is always searching for, these type of recordings work great!

Aerial Shots

To realise the vision for each project, our crew works with all types of aerial shots, from helicopter images to drone recordings. When the project is contained to a smaller area a drone usually works just fine. For example a  DJI Mavic Pro or the DJI Inspire. When the recordings for the project are spread across a larger area it’s usually more convenient to use a helicopter. In both instances we always work with specialist and make sure all permits are acquired before we start filming.

Besides the possibilities that a drone offers from a production perspective it’s also a great tool for our development process. When we take a drone to a shoot it gives us beautiful images. For example when our crew went on a world trip for DSM, the made recordings of New York, Sao Paolo, Shanghai and the beauty it shows from above.
